Pakistan devastated once again by Floods in Sindh.

Sadly, hardly a year went by since the last year’s devastation and calamity of floods in Pakistan and once again Monsoons hit the southern region of the country in August. The four weeks of continuous rain have created an unprecedented flood situation in Mithi, Mirpurkhas, Diplo, Parker, Nawabshah, Badin, Chhor, Padidan, Sangurh and Hyderabad in province of Sindh.
An estimated 450 people have been killed, with 5.6 million people and 1.2 million homes affected. The damage and effect of the floods on the local agricultural economy is very extensive. At least 1.7 million acres of agricultural land have been submerged as a result of the flooding. Livestock have been killed and human life is suffering.
Malaria, skin diseases, snake bites and dysentery is causing further havoc as is unavailability of food, health care and clean drinking water.

It is time for us to rise once again and extend a helping hand to our brethren. Association of Pakistani Americans has raised nearly $50,000 so we may help the suffering men, women and children of Sindh, Pakistan.
You can join in the effort too. Please mail your donation to:
