An update on funds collected for Flood victims in Pakistan
The Board of Association of Pakistani Americans of Central Florida, is delighted to share latest update on the donated 25 units of water purification system. 23 units were donated to the Imran Khan Flood relief , Pakistan and two units to the Kawish Welfare trust. These units will be installed in villiages being constructed in the flood affected areas. In December two members of APA board went to Pakistan to hand over and train staff of the NGOs. After the training, the units have been handed over to the organizations First unit was installed at the compound of main mosque in Basti Aara, Kot Addu, Muzaffargarh. This village has been built by Imran Khan foundation and was completed on December 27th, 2010. This is the 2nd of 20 such villiages that are being rebuild by the foundation. 2nd unit was installed in "Basti Mochani" at Kot Addu, where 52 homes are being build by Kawish Welfare trust. The unit continue to be installed and are serving the whole village and providing safe drinking water to the local residents of these villages. Once again APA Board is humbly greatful to the Central Florida community for their generosity and support for a very noble cause of helping Flood victims of Pakistan.
